IFE SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT FLAGS OFF GRADING OF 100KM OF RURAL ROADS ACROSS 11 WARDS

In a bold step towards enhancing rural infrastructure and improving the living conditions of residents, the Ife South Local Government has officially flagged off the grading of 100 kilometers of rural roads across the 11 wards in the council area.

The flag-off ceremony, led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Prince) Mufutau Adegbite, underscores the administration’s commitment to grassroots development and accessibility. The project is aimed at easing transportation challenges, boosting agricultural productivity, and facilitating economic activities within rural communities.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman noted that the initiative would open up remote areas, allowing farmers to transport their produce more easily to markets, while also improving access to essential services such as healthcare and education.

He emphasized that the grading exercise would be carried out in phases to ensure that all wards benefit equitably, adding that quality and timely delivery remain top priorities of his administration. Interestingly, a total of three graders have been mobilised to quicken and fasten the work across the eleven wards of the local government.

Also present at the flag off includes; Hon. Yinusa Adebisi, Vice Chairman Hon. Felix Ologbenla, Leader of the House Hon. Olawale Oladosu, LG Secretary Hon. James Babatunde, Chief of staff Hon. Lawal Alaba, Councillors, Supervisory councillors, Special Advisers, Executive Assistants, Party Chairman Hon Gbenga Oladokun, State Officer Hon. Dosu Ogunremi other Leaders and scores of party faithfuls.

Residents and community leaders who witnessed the flag-off expressed gratitude to the local government for the intervention, describing it as a timely response to the long-standing road challenges affecting their communities.
