The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Odebunmi Sikiru , has approved a major upward review of the monthly stipend for O’YES Cadets in the local government from N12,500 to N50,000.

The increment, which takes immediate effect, was announced on Thursday at the Boripe Local Government Secretariat, Iragbiji, during a meeting with O’YES Corps, sacked teachers, and health workers in Boripe LG.

According to Hon. Odebunmi, the decision aligns with the _Renewed Hope Agenda_ of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu  and underscores the council’s commitment to youth welfare, easing economic hardship, and motivating cadets for better productivity.

“Our O’YES beneficiaries are critical to grassroots development and community service. This increment is to appreciate their dedication and to cushion the effect of the current economic realities,” the Chairman said.

He added that the new N50,000 monthly stipend will boost morale, enhance service delivery, and align Boripe LG with best practices in youth engagement.

Beneficiaries present at the meeting commended the Chairman for the gesture, describing it as “unprecedented” and a clear sign that the council leadership prioritizes youth empowerment.

The Chairman urged the cadets to reciprocate the gesture with discipline, loyalty, and renewed commitment to their duties across the 11 wards of Boripe Local Government.
