Osun 2026: Moye Alade’s Wife Empowers 150 Women In Support Of AMBO In Ejigbo

The wife of an Osun State House of Assembly aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Moye Alade, has empowered no fewer than 150 women in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State with branded blenders and refreshments to strengthen grassroots support for the party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The empowerment programme, which attracted APC leaders, women groups and supporters, held in Ejigbo on Saturday April 25, 2026, was also used to rally support for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, as political activities gradually gather momentum in the state.

Speaking at the event, Mrs Moye Alade said the initiative was part of her contribution to support women and encourage political participation at the grassroots level, noting that women remain a critical factor in electoral victories.

She further explained that the empowerment was also in support of her husband’s political ambition to represent Ejigbo in the Osun State House of Assembly under the APC, assuring that more community-based interventions would follow.

She urged beneficiaries to mobilise support for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, in their respective communities, expressing optimism that the party would record victory in 2026.

Mrs Moye said “I encourage every woman to be part of this election. Come August 2026, it is going to be AMBO for Osun State. I also urge beneficiaries to mobilise support for our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, so they can enjoy more dividends of democracy,”

She also used the occasion to appeal to APC party leaders in Ejigbo and Osun State to support her husband’s House of Assembly ambition, urging them to ensure he emerges as the party’s candidate in order to deliver more development to the grassroots if elected.

In her remarks, the Osun West APC Senatorial Women Leader, Mrs Adegbile Funmilayo, commended Mrs Moye Alade for her philanthropic gesture, describing her as a grassroots-oriented woman committed to community development.

She said, “You and your husband have been empowering people and doing great things at the grassroots level. I commend you for remembering the women of Ejigbo. All your visions behind this empowerment will come to reality by God’s grace,” she said.

Also speaking, APC apex leader in Ejigbo, Senator Hussein applauded Mrs Alade for what he described as her personal sacrifice in supporting women, urging beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture with loyalty to the party.

He called for increased support for the APC and its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, noting that victory for the party would translate into more development for Ejigbo and Osun State at large.

Senator Hussein described the APC as a progressive party founded on the legacies of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and President Bola Tinubu, adding that the party remains committed to grassroots development and empowerment.
