As Christians in Boripe Local Government begin the 40-day period of fasting, Hon. Odebunmi Sikiru , the Chairman of Boripe Local Government, has felicitated with the Christian community, urging them to use the period to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the nation.

In a statement released by his office, Hon. Odebunmi emphasized the importance of love and tolerance, noting that these values are essential for building a harmonious and peaceful society.

"As we begin this sacred period of fasting, I urge our Christian brothers and sisters to remember the importance of love and tolerance," Hon. Odebunmi said. "Let us use this period to pray for one another, to forgive one another, and to promote peace and unity in our community."

Hon. Odebunmi also praised the Christian community in Boripe for their contributions to the development of the area, noting that their commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity is commendable.

"I want to assure our Christian brothers and sisters that we value and appreciate their contributions to our community," Hon. Odebunmi said. "We will continue to work together to promote peace, progress, and prosperity in Boripe Local Government."

The statement concluded with a prayer for the Christian community, wishing them a spiritually rewarding fasting period.
