Gov. Dapo Abiodun to Partner FUNAAB on Food Security; Eulogized Pro-Chancellor

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, during a Courtesy call on him at his Oke Mosan office by the Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), led by the Pro-Chancellor, Oba Olabomi, affirmed his commitment to begin a new era of collaboration between the University and the State with a view to making the State the food basket of the nation.

Earlier the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of FUNAAB Council, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi had informed the Governor that the FUNAAB Council recently inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu GCFR decided to visit the Governor as a matter of courtesy before start of the business for which they were appointed.

Oba Olabomi praised the efforts of the Governor in the administration of the State. He sought collaboration in the area of food security and pleaded with the Governor to kindly assist in the rehabilitation of the Camp-Alabata  the sole access road to the University which is in state of disrepair.

Gov. Abiodun promised to work with the University and especially with Oba Olabomi who he described as very appreciate given his depth of knowledge and pedigree and to ensure that the road is fixed very soon. 

The Governor made presentation of the highest soverneir given to most valuable guests of the State to the Aragbiji while others were given adire cloths which the State is re known for.. 

Present at the warm ceremony were the Head of Service of Ogun State, Commissioner for Education, the Deputy Chief of Staff Dr. Taiwo, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and other officials.
