In his address at the official commissioning of the Aragbiji Ultramodern Palace, Oba Olabomi highlighted the six-year journey from the project's inception to completion. He dispelled misconceptions about demolition of the old palace for personal motives, emphasizing that the palace's inception, driven by a commitment to preserving the old while embracing modernity, was triggered by a visit to the Emir of Ilorin's palace and exacerbated by the 2017 flooding which destroyed personal belongings of the Royal Household as well as structural defects in the firmer structure.

Oba Olabomi expressed gratitude to key contributors, notably Alhaji Isiaka Adeboyega Oyetola, and acknowledged the dedication of the technical team. Despite various challenges and a budget which was eventually about  450 million Naira, the palace stands in its full magnificience today as a testament to progress and unity, symbolizing a new era for Iragbiji.

The long-awaited moment arrived as His Excellency Alhaji Isiaka Adeboyega Oyetola officially opened the palace, symbolized by the cutting of the ribbon.
