"Dr Dare Ojumu: Untapped Asset For Socio-Economic Development of Osun State" - By Adekunle Alaye, PhD.

Having known Dr Desmond Oludare Ojumu, for twenty seven years ago and closely related with him, I make bold to say without mincing words that he is indeed an untapped asset that God has deposited for the good people of Osun State and Nigeria at large. 

Without any sense of exaggeration, none of the  array of personalities who have been throwing themselves up to represent our people can match his monumental prowess in taking the masses to the next level of any meaningful development.

When the great scholar, Jean Jacques Rousseau wrote "Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains", he was apparently replicating the current situation in Osun State, where the incumbent governor/administration has turned a state of affairs that ought to be a serious business into an entertainment world. Thus brought governance in the state into a "conjuctural lacuna. Where the current political leadership has alienated the mass of people to their faith, despite the perception and high expectations for better governance.

Indeed, Preactionalism, Patrimonialism and Prebendalism are cardinal pitfalls that have eaten so deep to the fabric of socioeconomic development in Nigeria and by sub state, Osun State.

Dr Desmond Oludare Ojumu, has the urgent, special and needed experience,  knowledge and pragmatic know how  to give the masses of his immediate Constituency, Osun East Senatorial District and Osun State as a whole what they desire in the market of positive democratic governance in Nigeria.

As a critical Political Scientist, seasoned Broadcast Journalist and consistent observer of Osun politics and Nigeria in general, I have come to say that Dr Ojumu, is a huge abundance of leadership skills, philanthropism as he has empowered over 500 youths of his Constituency as a non political office holder on various vocational training and skills but simply for charity and humanitarian bases.  

Dr. Ojumu is intellectually relevant, he holds a PhD degree, he is a visionary administrator with high sense of  sophistications. He is a renowned international business man. He is a captain of industry. He has made his marks as one of the great Nigerians who has made African continent great in diaspora. He is an embodiment of sagacity required to turn Osun State round in his geo-political carve.

Dr Ojumu, is encapsulated in the water of altruism, living in the sea of visionary politicking, he is abreast of the worsening and intensity of extreme impoverishment in Osun State nay Nigeria at large. 

Dr. Desmond OJ , is indeed a man to watch out for in the next political cycle for his consistency and immeasurable contributions to his great Party, All Progressives Congress(APC).
