APC State Secretaries Meets National Secretary; Ajibola Basiru Ph.D

The Conference of State Secretaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from all 36 states and the FCT paid a courtesy visit to the party's National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru PhD, at the National Secretariat in Abuja.

The State Secretaries congratulated Basiru on his appointment and pledged their support to him. They also congratulated him on the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the just concluded election petition tribunal.

Basiru thanked the State Secretaries for their visit and assured them of his commitment to working with them to strengthen the party. He also congratulated them on the emergence of one of their colleagues, the APC Lagos State Secretary, as the Lagos State Commissioner for Regional Integration.

In his remarks, the leader of the State Secretaries, Alhaji Abdullahi Maigari, said that Basiru is a "real democrat and icon of progressive politics in Nigeria." He also praised Basiru's accessibility and capacity.

Ajibola Basiru PhD  responded by saying that the State Secretaries are the "powerhouse" of the party in their respective states. He advocated for functional party secretariats across all states, 774 local government areas, and wards of the federation.

He also assured the State Secretaries of the support of the National Working Committee of the party under the chairmanship of HE Abdullahi Ganduje at all times.

The visit was a sign of the unity and solidarity of the APC State Secretaries. It is also a demonstration of their commitment to working with the National Secretary to strengthen the party and ensure it's victory in the subsequent elections.
