Oyetola a Servant Leader, His Performance Wonderous- General Akinrinade

An elder statesman in Osun state, General Alani Ipoola Akinrinade has described Oyetola as a servant leader.

He equally emphasized that his performance at the helms of state affairs is wondrous, unique and topnotch.

He made this known while appraising the general governance in the state in an interactive session with the team of Ministry of Information (Civic Engagement) led by the Special Adviser of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye at his country home, Yakoyo, Ife North, Osun State.

Akinrinade, a retired lieutenant general said that Oyetola is a man of proven integrity who is known for his personality moulded with patience, humility, hospitalism, and high sense of service to humanity which has been the reason why the people of the state elected him as the Governor.

"We're not disappointed in him for he has performed excellently well through his service driven leadership occasioned by his people-centred governance within about an half of his first term in office while it's believed that the second half of his administration will even be more efficient and productive.

"As a leader with a listening ear who takes people's demands and yearnings imperative above any other thing, he has been able to engender peace and stability in the polity through steering away from controversial policies which do not conform with the opinion poll", he added.

Akinrinade, a foremost Yoruba leader equally commended Oyetola on his giant strides in every sector of the state economy which had touched the very last man in the local communities.

"I'm still astounded about the way Oyetola is wonderfully performing for every senatorial district I get to, has an impact of the government whether in terms of health facilities, motorable roads, and most other programs of the government in spite paucity of fund which the state is currently challenged with.

"It is believed that his avalanche of knowledge and experience in public administration and financial management are responsible for his topnotch performance by which he has flooded the state with health facilities through the upgrading of 332 primary health centres (PHC's) that an average resident of Osun can access within their closest reach while he has been consistently paying salaries and pensions as contrary to the hue and cries that have characterized the system before", he added.

He equally extolled the ingenuity behind the team work which Oyetola played with other governors in the south west for the creation of Amotekun security outfit which was a reactionary response to the surge of insecurity which was lingering in the country and as threatening the peace and harmony Osun was enjoying.

"The Amotekun has indeed helped in maintaining the peace and stability of the state as a result of significant reduction in kidnapping, cattle rustling, cultism, gangsterism among others. This is why Amotekun should metamorphose into state police as the federal government must adjust the policing arrangement to reflect community driven structure and conform with contemporary circumstances", Akinrinade added.

He also stated that Oyetola's intervention in boosting the agricultural sector through grants, soft loans and other agricultural empowerment programs for the farmers, has started yielding result as there's an increase in the level of land cultivation, noting that by this time next year, the state will have been experiencing surplus agricultural values as production will be more than the consumption.

Akinrinade then urged the people of the state to carry out their civic responsibilities and to also support the government in its quest to take the state to the pinnacle of development.
