Targets Over 1,000 Households Across the two Local Governments

The widely celebrated grassroots empowerment initiative, Oyetola Hand of Fellowship, returns for its sixth edition, tagged “Thank You” Edition, scheduled to hold on July 3rd and 6th, 2025. This impactful social intervention programme is spearheaded by Engr. Sowade Oluwakayode , the Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority.

Since its inception in June 2023, the initiative has empowered close to 5000 households, primarily within the Ife-East Area Office of Osun State, with a focus on Modakeke and surrounding communities. The programme provides direct cash gifts and material support to vulnerable families, widows, aged individuals, and low-income earners addressing immediate needs and rekindling hope among the underserved.

The 6th edition, tagged the “Thank You” Edition, is specially designed to appreciate the unwavering support of the good people of Osun State, particularly those from Modakeke Area office of Osun and Ife North Local Government, for their belief in the renewed hope agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu  and their continued loyalty to the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola .

Engr. Kayode Sowade, known for his deep philanthropic roots and passion for community development, initiated this quarterly empowerment scheme to bridge the gap between government development efforts and the immediate needs of the people at the grassroots level. Under his leadership, the Oyetola Hand of Fellowship has become a beacon of hope, lifting countless families out of hardship and fostering unity, solidarity, and civic engagement.

This edition will hold in two strategic locations:
 • *First Session*: Saturday, July 3rd, 2025, at Ipetumodu Town Hall, Ife North Local Government Area
 • *Second Session* : Sunday, July 6th, 2025, at Modakeke Town Hall, Area Office, Osun State

Both events are expected to empower over 1,000 households collectively, with targeted beneficiaries identified through local community leaders, religious organizations, and youth groups to ensure transparency and impact.

According to Engr. Sowade, “This edition is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the people for standing firm with progressive ideals and remaining steadfast with the Oyetola school of thought. We believe in building our people from the grassroots, and we are committed to making their lives better, one household at a time.”

Members of the media, traditional leaders, youth organizations, political stakeholders, and the general public are invited to witness and support this landmark initiative as it continues to reshape lives and strengthen community bonds in Osun State.
