Osun: Ward 4 (Faji/Opete) Harvests New Members for APC
As the Osun State gubernatorial election draws nearer, the chances of the All Progressives Congress APC in the state has been brightened with the massive joining of the party by the Hausa community in Odo-Otin Local Government area of the State.
Specifically, in a
stakeholders' meeting hosted by Engr Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye popularly called KLM, the Hausa community numbering over 200 and led by Prince Usman Muhammed in Ward 4 (Faaji/Opete), formally declared for APC, a development that would further help to position it for victory in the coming elections in the state.
The meeting hugely attended by supporters and stakeholders from all the wards in the council area, saw in attendance among others, elder statesmen; Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and the Akinrogun of Inisa, Comrade Poju Odusola.
Speaking at the event, the APC governorsip candidate, Alhaji Munurudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly referred to as AMBO, expressed the optimism that the party would sail through at the coming polls.
Oyebamiji who was represented by Hon Abdulgafar Amere commended Honourable Ibitoye KLM for organizing the meeting and for his untiring contributions at ensuring the success of APC at all times.
The APC flag bearer implored members, stakeholders and supporters of the party to continue to forge a common front so as to ease it success on August 15 scheduled for the election.
Also, the Oluomo of Inisa, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and Leader of IBO Federal Constituency, Comrade Poju Odusola, called for unity of purpose among members of the party across the state, adding that the task of sending packing, those currently directing the affairs of the state, was a must.
While urging the teeming members of the Hausa community who just joined the APC not to feel intimidated by anybody, the respected elder statesmen assured that the party would triumph at the coming election.
Other speakers at the meeting include the local government party Chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Aasa, Dr Romoke Edu Abiola-Oloke and Mr Akin Adeyi.
Others are some members of the Ward which include its Chairman, Prince Gboyega Adewoye, Hon Wahab Ilyas, Mrs Bolanle Adebayo, Hon Taofeek Ibitayo and the Ward Councillor, Hon Sola Soladoye.
In his vote of thanks, the convener of the meeting, Omooba Adeniran Ibitoye KLM who was formerly a lawmaker and a cabinet member in the state, said the spirit behind the meeting was to galvanize the interest of members of the party and as well ensure that all hands were on deck for the success of the party.
While appreciating the people for the large turnout, he appealed that the tempo must be sustained for the party to make headway in the coming elections.
