Over 100 members of PDP/Accord Party have defected to the APC in Ward 09 IBA, Ifelodun Local Government, Osun State. The defectors, received by Chief (Dr) Adekunle Moshood Oluawo , Mrs Dicessons Ayangble, and Alhaji Moshood Adelowo, were assured of equal rights by Ward 09 APC Chairman Alhaji Yekeen Yekein.

The defectors, led by Hon. Kareem Lukman and Hon. Adeleke Sismon, cited APC's vision and leadership as reasons for joining the party. Chief Oluawo praised the defectors and urged them to mobilize support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebanmiji's candidacy in the August 15 governorship election.

"This is a significant boost to our party's momentum," Chief Oluawo said. "Your decision will be rewarded. We welcome you to the APC family and assure you of our commitment to collective growth and development."

The defection has boosted APC morale in the area, with party leaders expressing optimism about their chances in the election. Party leaders are confident of winning the election, citing Oyebanmiji's popularity and APC's grassroots strength.

APC plans to build on this momentum, intensifying campaigns and outreach efforts to secure victory on August 15. The party is working tirelessly to engage with voters, address their concerns, and showcase its vision for Osun State's future.

The event was attended by prominent party members, including Ifelodun North LCDA Chairman, Prince Abdul Rauf Adeniyi Olaniyan, Hon. Fasola Adebayo (KingIbe), Hon. Imole, and Hon. Alo, among others.
