The Aragbiji of Iragbiji,  Oba Abdul-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi  Odundun IV has extolled Adegboyega Oyetola's vantage in politics describing the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy as 'political marginalization barrier breaker' and development facilitator for his Community.

The Monarch who gave this description in his address on Saturday at Iragbiji during a grand reception organised in honour of the new Minister, said before the appointment of Oyetola as Chief of Staff in 2011, Iragbiji had not been opportuned to have any indigene of the Community as member of the state Executive Council, adding "neither had anyone been made Chairman of our state or Federal Board."

Oba Olabomi said: "As the Chief of Staff, Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola  broke the barrier for Iragbiji. 

"In 2018, at a keenly contested Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress, Oyetola clinched the ticket as the Party's flag bearer and he eventually won, hence creating another record for Iragbiji, which had been politically marginalized since independence."

Speaking further, the Chief Host at the grand reception said the Minister, who is an illustrious son of Iragbiji, was the first person from the ancient town to be given a National Award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger, C.O.N., adding "So, the C.O.N is another novel feat ever attained by an indigene of Iragbiji."  

The traditional ruler praises the immediate-past governor of Osun State on his performance as governor despite many challenges ranging from inherited humongous loans which rendered the state's treasury financially weak and almost incapacitated, the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic and the devastating End-SARS Protest, to which Oyetola would have lost his life in Osogbo via an assassination attempt by hoodlums, among other challenges militating against the state during his governance. 

Describing Oyetola as ' a reference point in performance and celebrity of good governance'. Oba Olabomi listed some of his achievements in Osun to include revitalization of 332 primary health centers, establishment Osun Health Insurance Scheme, massive in education, security, infrastructure, agriculture and food security.

Other according to the monarch were monthly provision food  for 30,000  vulnerable people across the state, regular payment of salaries and pension, monthly allowance for the aged as well as support for the traditional rulers.

Aragbiji in his speech further said: we are happy that under his inter-township  road project which saw the state fixing Ede/Ejigbo, Ada/ Igbajo and other roads, the Iragbiji/Kelebe Osogbo roads was fixed, and as a community, we are decided to name Iragbiji sections of the road as "Adegboyega Oyetola way". 

In his response, the honoree,  Oyetola, appreciated Oba Olabomi for the grand reception, the organizing Committee as well as dignitaries in attendance with assurances that he would use his ministry  to facilitate employment  of youths in his Community and Nigeria.
