Osun Central 2027: Barr. Yomi Ogunwale Obtains Senatorial Nomination Form, Takes It Round 10 Lgs For Stakeholders’ Endorsement

Leading aspirant for Osun Central Senatorial District, Barrister Yomi Ogunwale, has obtained the All Progressives Congress, APC, nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the Senate in the 2026 general elections.

In a rare show of grassroots engagement, Barr. Ogunwale on Friday commenced a tour of all ten local governments in Osun Central — _Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun, Orolu, Odo-Otin, Ifelodun, Boripe, Ifedayo, Ila, and Boluwaduro  to present the nomination form to party stakeholders for their blessings and signatures.

Addressing leaders and party faithful in Irepodun Local Government, Barr. Ogunwale said the move was to demonstrate transparency, respect for party structures, and his readiness to run an all-inclusive campaign.

This ticket does not belong to me alone. It belongs to every APC member in Osun Central. That is why I am taking it to our leaders in all 10 LGs for their endorsement. Together, we will deliver Renewed Hope to our senatorial district,”_ Ogunwale stated.

Party leaders across the LGs commended the aspirant for his humility and grassroots approach, describing him as a loyal party man with the competence and legal depth to offer quality representation at the Red Chamber.

Barr. Ogunwale promised to prioritize legislative interventions in agriculture, education, federal jobs, and infrastructure across Osun Central if elected, noting that the district deserves a strong, articulate voice in the 11th Senate.

Our people need a Senator who knows the law, understands governance, and can negotiate federal presence. I am offering myself for that service,” he added.
