Osun 2026: AMBO movement gain momentum as APC stakeholders inaugurate grassroots campaign coordinators in LGAs, LCDAs.

In their efforts to ensure the emergence of the Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun, the AMBO Movement on Thursday inaugurated grassroots coordinators and mobilizers across the 69 Local Government Areas, Local Council Development Authorities, Council Areas, Area Offices and Administrative Offices in Osun State. 

The AMBO Movement charged the newly-inaugurated coordinators to champion peaceful engagement, wide spread of Oyebamiji's gospel and as well, ensure unity and rancour-free campaigns and mobilizations in their respective communities.

This is just as the campaign coordinators pledged their commitment and readiness to spread Oyebamiji's gospel in their various domains and localities in the state, saying "his administrative acumen, competence, capacity and wherewithal are top-notch."

The inauguration of the grassroots campaign coordinators and mobilizers across the nooks and crannies of Osun has further exhibited the irrevocable commitment of the AMBO Movement towards the actualization of Oyebamiji's ambition of becoming the party flagbearer and subsequently becoming the next Governor of Osun come 2026.

Recall that the AMBO Movement had earlier inaugurated campaign stakeholders across the nine federal constituencies and three senatorial districts in the state.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the chieftains and members of the APC as they emphasized their resolve to ensure the emergence of Oyebamiji as APC governorship candidate as well as his victory in the next governorship election.

Speaking, the immediate past Speaker Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye expressed confidence in the capacity of the campaign coordinators to deliver on the mandate given to them. 

Owoeye, who is the AMBO Team Lead, described the initiative as a child of necessity to take the campaign for AMBO to the grassroots as part of efforts to further register Oyebamiji's virtues in the people's minds. 

"The major functions of the newly inaugurated coordinators is to go back to their various political units, wards and local governments to establish and register the golden name - AMBO in their various domains. They are to design how best to spread the campaign for AMBO so as for him to become the candidate of our party and subsequently be the next governor of Osun come 2026. 

"These coordinators have been equally saddled with the responsibility of liaising with the local government stakeholders that we inaugurated few days ago, and they will equally be the ones to bridge the gap between the stakeholders and our members across units and wards at the grassroots to ensure effective, efficient and seamless campaign process across the nooks and crannies of the State. They will be the ones that will be conveying messages from the AMBO office to the people at the grassroots. They are to make sure that they spread the gospel of Oyebamiji to become the Governor of Osun in 2026. At the same time they are to work to let the people know why we want Oyebamiji. From doing that, we are going to achieve good mileage in telling the people that we have a viable candidate to present for the next election and that he Oyebamiji will take Osun to the next level by doing  all the Adeleke's government failed to do", Owoeye stated.

In his remarks, the former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke called on the newly-inaugurated coordinators to engage with people peacefully and ensure issue-based in their various domains. 

"As you can see, we just inaugurated the 69 powerful grassroots mobilizers to coordinate the activities of AMBO towards his ambition to become the next candidate of our party and the elected Governor of Osun State come 2026. We did the inauguration seamlessly and you can see the large numbers of people present signalling the wide acceptance of AMBO. 

"As you can see in them, they are so committed as they all affirmed that they will work their fingers to the bone to make sure that Oyebamiji becomes the candidate of our party and eventually the next governor of our dear State. 

"To members of our party, we have been saying it, as you can see that nobody engaged in names calling. We are all at peace. Like I said before, it is one-single family. The coordinators are to work mainly for the actualization of Oyebamiji's dream to become the candidate of APC after which he becomes candidate of the party, then it becomes the affair of the party and then other aspirants will join to do the work together", he added. 

Fielding questions from journalists, the  coordinators assured their readiness to campaign rigorously for the emergence of Oyebamiji as APC governorship candidate and elected Governor of Osun come 2026.

Immediate past Osogbo state Constituency lawmaker, Hon. Badamosi Taofeek Abolubode and former member, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Ajibola Akinloye assured the coordinators' readiness to ensure all round victory for Oyebamiji.
