The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola  on Friday urged the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun to continually pursue common political goal by maintaining the existing peace, unity and cohesion reigning in the party.

Oyetola advocated the need for members of the party to remain united, formidable and indivisible as the party's leadership had been working assiduously to ensure all round victories in the future elections.

Speaking at a stakeholders' strategic meeting held on Friday at Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Osogbo, emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and peaceful coexistence among party members especially between and among those nurturing political ambitions. 

Oyetola, the former Osun State Governor  Oyetola urged all the aspirants who have been declaring intentions to contest for one office or the other to see each other as brothers rather than perceived enemies saying the task ahead is to wrestle power from the People's Democratic Party led government in the state.

The Minister added: "As progressives, we must rise above internal divisions. Our mission is collective, and our strength lies in our unity. Let us not lose sight of the bigger picture as to the need to reclaim our state and continue the legacy of development and good governance."

The Minister also charged the reinstated Local Government Chairmen and Councillors to conduct their affairs with integrity and in accordance with the constitution and due process. 

He called on all party leaders and stakeholders to maintain unwavering loyalty to the APC by aligning themselves fully with the reform driven agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

The meeting had in attendance; Engr. Sola Akinwunmi, Chairman of the Igbimo Agba Osun (Elders’ Council); Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, Osun State APC Chairman; Former Deputy Governors, Chief Mrs. Grace Titilayo Laoye Ponle and Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi; Chief Shuaib Oyedokun; former Speakers of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wale Afolabi, Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, and Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye; as well as members of the Osun APC State Executive Committee, the Agba Osun caucus, local government party chairmen, and all reinstated local government chairmen.

The meeting concluded with a resounding commitment to unity, discipline, and strategic collaboration as the party prepares to confront the political challenges ahead and reclaim its mandate in Osun State.
