Hon (Prince) Mufutau Adegbite, Ife South Local Government Chairman Distributes Welfare Packages For Two Thousand Five Hundred Households

Residents Of Ife south local government have commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Mufutau Adegbite, following the distribution of welfare packages to support at least two thousand five hundred households during the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent.

Meanwhile, the beneficiaries are to receive essential food items including rice, beans, garri, semovita, and some body building nutrients like bournvita, Milo, milk and other household necessities aimed at easing the burden of fasting.

The Chairman noted that the initiative is part of his administration's commitment to promoting unity, compassion, and social welfare among residents, irrespective of religious affiliation. He emphasized that Ramadan and Lent are periods that encourage sacrifice, charity, and reflection, making it necessary for leaders to support the less privileged.

“This gesture is to ensure that our people observe these sacred seasons with dignity and without undue hardship. It is also a reminder that as a community, we must continue to care for one another,” he said.

However, the distribution was carefully coordinated and arranged to cater for the following; traditional rulers in the community, leagues of Imams and Alfas, Christian Association of Nigeria, Ifetedo Progressive Union, Chiefs and Baales, National Ifetedo Students Union, Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, DSS, FRSC, INEC, Ifetedo General Hospital, Ifetedo & Olode Hausa Community, Iyalojas'& Babalojas',  Party Stakeholders, Local Party Chairman & Ward Chairmen, Local Executives, Local Women Leader and Youth Leader, among others. Party faithfuls across the 11 wards of the council are also to benefit from the kind gesture. 

Community leaders, party faithfuls and other beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the Chairman for the kind gesture, describing the support as timely and impactful. They commended the local government chairman for remembering the needs of the people and urged the administration to continue implementing programmes that improve the standard of living in the area.

The Chairman further assured the people that his administration would continue to introduce initiatives and programmes aimed at promoting development, unity, and prosperity within the local government.
