......Charges NULGE Leaders to Shun Politics and Return to Work

 The Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Odebumi, has felicitated with council workers on the occasion of May Day, while also charging leaders of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to shun politics and return to work after over two months of strike action.

In a statement released by his office, Hon. Odebumi commended the dedication and hard work of council workers, who have continued to serve the local government despite challenges.

"We celebrate our council workers today, who have shown remarkable resilience and commitment to duty," Hon. Odebumi said. "We appreciate their efforts and reassure them of our administration's commitment to their welfare."

However, Hon. Odebumi also expressed concern over the prolonged strike action by NULGE leaders, which has crippled council activities and affected the delivery of services to the people of Boripe Local Government.

"We urge NULGE leaders to put the interest of council workers and the people of Boripe Local Government above politics," Hon. Odebumi said. "We are ready to engage with them to resolve any outstanding issues and return to work."

Hon. Odebumi reiterated his administration's commitment to the welfare of council workers and the development of Boripe Local Government.

"We will continue to prioritize the welfare of our council workers and ensure that our local government delivers on its mandate to the people," Hon. Odebumi said.
