The politicization of Osun NULGE by its President, Dr. Nathaniel Ogungbangbe, has raised concerns about the potential consequences of mixing politics with labour union activities. Since the Appeal Court judgment reinstated sacked APC Chairmen and Councillors to their various councils, Dr. Ogungbangbe has been accused of appointing himself as a spokesperson for the PDP and Governor Adeleke. 

This development has sparked worries that the union's credibility and neutrality may be compromised. As a labour union leader, Dr. Ogungbangbe is expected to remain impartial and focused on advocating for the welfare of local government workers.

The situation is considered volatile, with some critics warning that it could escalate into a crisis if not managed carefully. 

The politicization of unions can lead to conflicts of interest, undermine the union's credibility, and create divisions among members. 

 Dr. Ogungbangbe had earlier charged workers to stay away from all the local government areas in Osun. 

 However, his recent actions have raised questions about his commitment to maintaining the union's apolitical stance.

It remains to be seen how this situation will unfold, but one thing is clear: the politicization of Osun NULGE has the potential to be a ticking time bomb, threatening the stability and credibility of the union.
