As part of commitment to foster unity and advance the progress of the All Progressives Congress, APC Osun State Chapter, the vibrant APC Women Wing of Osun Central Senatorial District, led by Alhaja Ibraheem Muslimat on 7th December 2025 held Special New Year Prayer Session at Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

In her welcome address, Alhaja Ibrahim appreciated God for the success of the programme and charged all women to continually support the party.

This was contained in a statement signed by a Chieftain of the APC and former Lawmaker in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye also known as KLM.

According to the statement, the convener of the prayer session, Alhaja Ibraheem described it as an opportunity to pray for the party's chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola and all the leadership of the party.  

Alhaja Ibrahim said participants joined their faith in seeking divine blessings for a prosperous New Year and the continued success of the APC.

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the event was the decamping of some women across the local governments from PDP to APC.

The prayer session was graced by the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru SRJ who was represented by one of his aides, APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, H.E; Titi Grace Ponnle, Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun, State Secretary, Alhaji Kamarudeen Alao, State Treasurer, Hon Femi Kujembola, State Women Leader, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde and other Executives.

Others are Rt.Hon Sunmonu Taiwo, Hon Wasiu Adebayo, Hon Rasaki Adeosun, Hon Felicia Omolaoye, Hon Bolaji Gbogbolomo, Mrs Fausat Atobatele, Alhaja Tayo Adebisi, Chairman APC Olorunda LG, local Government Women Leaders across the central district, among others.

In their seperate remarks, Sooko Lawal, H.E Titi Ponnle, Chief Oyedokun, Alhaja Fakokunde and other speakers prayed for the stability of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration and for the Osun APC to return to power during the 2026 elections. 

Imams from both Adeen Central Mosque, Powerline and Ilerioluwa Mosque, Osogbo were present during the prayer session. The Muslim prayer was led by Imam Abdul Akeem Adeyemo of Adeen Central Mosque, Imam Ismail Ibrahim of Allahu Lateef Central Mosque and Imam Rafiu Adelakun Alade of Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Osogbo. The Christian prayer was led by Evangelist Rasaki Adeosun.
