UNFOUNDED PDP DEFECTION CLAIMS: THE GASPING EFFORT OF A SINKING PARTY

A deception cannot cross-up the two participating parties. If the listener remains unaware of the deception, atleast the liar cannot just be lost to his own dishonesty.

The recent claims by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the defection of some of All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Ifelodun Local Government to their party, the PDP is clearly unfounded.

The false defection show staged at the Holy Trinity was just put up by the immediate past ALGON Chairman and PDP chairmanship flagbearer for Ifelodun LG in the forthcoming Osun state local government election, Mr Sarafadeen Awotunde popularly known as Spain purely as a face saving tactic to pacify and deceive the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke and the rest PDP lords in Ede country home who have been disappointed and traumatized by the report of continuous mass defection into opposition APC in Ifelodun LG in the recent.

However, Investigation carried out by our group revealed that the claim of defections of some APC members led by one Mr. Ibrahim Adekunle Lukman, from Ward 03, Lawal Muideen Owoseni ward 08, mr Sabale ward 07 and High Chief Balogun ward 01 are clear hypocrisy.

Our further dig on mr Lukman and others mentioned as the supposed leaders of the decampees revealed that there's no such name as Ibrahim Adekunle Lukman in the APC register in the ward 03 or by extention, any of the wards from one to twelve in the local government.

The background checks ran on Mr Ibrahim Adekunle Lukman who was being paraded at the rally further revealed the man is coming into partisan politics as a new entrant while mr Lawal Muideen Owoseni who has never contested for any election or appointed into any political position of note to be so deceptively addressed as honorable and his co-traveller mr Sabale who holds the highest record of defection in the local government and never delivered his polling unit for his party had left the APC earlier along with some  members of the infamous Omoluabi Group that worked against the interest of the APC in 2022 governorship election and 2023 general elections.

All these mentioned characters were culled to "shed weight" of provocation triggered by the gale of influx into the APC led by High Chief Elemo of Ikirunland, Oluomo Onifade and former PDP House of Representatives candidate, Barrister Kayode Oduoye Superkay.

The political observers in the local government believed the PDP's claims of significant defections from APC are clearly unfounded as the sizable numbers of attendees of the defection rally were fans of the invited fuji musician King Saheed Osupa Olufimo1. 

Mr Ibrahim Adekunle Lukman and others that were presented at the rally are not recognized as APC members and even lacking significant voting history in their respective ward. The rally at Ikirun just appeared to be exaggerated and best be described in its proper context as more of a social jamboree than making any decisive political statement.
