Oyetola's facilitation of Adeyemi, Badmus' appointment as NIMASA, NPA EDs commendable, says Aragbiji

Praises Tinubu's administration for equity, merit priority

The Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV has commended the leadership of the former governor of Osun State and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola over the appointment of two prominent indigenes of the state, Engr. Taiye Adeyemi and Engr. Olalekan Badmus as Executive Directors (ED), Operations, in two agencies under Oyetola's Marine and Blue Economy Ministry.

Yesterday's evening, the appointment of Engineers Adeyemi and Badmus as ED, Operations, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) respectively by President Bola Tinubu was announced.

Other newly appointed Executive Directors are Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet, Finance & Administration (NPA), Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar, Engineering & Technical Services (NPA), Mr. Jibril Abba, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services (NIMASA) and Mr. Chudi Offodile, Finance & Administration (NIMASA). 

Reacting to the new appointment, Oba Olabomi in a statement by his media office reminisced about Oyetola's exploits when he was Governor of the state, especially in the area of human and capital development, adding the Minister's performance since his assumption of office showed a committed replication of his selfless dedication to human empowerment.

The monarch added that the appointees are resource persons in their professional areas of specialization whose positions as Executive Directors would be invaluable to their respective agencies. 

Aragbiji said: "I commend the Honourable Minister not only because two of the six newly appointed Executive Directors in the  agencies are from Osun, but more also because of their merit as Engineers of note who have garnered useful experiences in their field, as these would translate to values in the area of revenue generation for the agencies, the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy as well as the realization of the #Renewed Hope Agenda of the President. 

"The President also deserves commendations for his merit priority and equity in appointment distribution, especially as demonstrated, just as usual, in this newly released appointment of six Executive Directors in the agencies under the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy."
