A die-hard Governor Oyetola's loyalist who is the chairman Yinka Akinwale Foundation and a member of the rulling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), flagged off a 2-day free medical treatment for those who have one eye problem or the other yesterday 13/10/2020 at Aragbiji pavilion in Aragbiji's palace where thousands of eye glasses were given out free to those who were in need. The foundation also distributed free eye drugs worth millions of naira to thousands of people that came for the treatment across Boripe and Boluwaduro State Constituency.

Amiable Governor of the state of Osun, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola ably represented by the honourable commissioner for health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, declared the program open.

The most commendable thing about the kind gesture is that it wasn't limited to APC members alone. It cuts across all party affiliations.

When contacted and asked why he embarked on such programme which must have gulped a huge amount without expecting anything in return, he thanked Almighty God for his life and made it clear that we should not expect only the government to cater for the welfare of the citizens. He opined that we should all embrace the culture of corporate-social responsibility in our society as obtains in the advanced countries of the world. "It's the duty of any reasonable person who has been blessed by Almighty God to complement the efforts of the government so as to improve the living conditions of our people and I'm only expecting return from Almighty God"; he said.

He explained further that the excellent performance of Governor Oyetola in the health sector inspired him to contribute his own quota towards complementing the Governor's giant strides in the sector. He added that he chose to help in eye treatment because eye is very key to human life as it's the light of the body.

In his remarks, one of the beneficiaries who pleaded anonimity thanked the chairman of Yinka Akinwale Foundation for bringing this treatment to this community. He prayed to Almighty God to continue to enrich and uphold the sponsor of this laudable initiative.

Another beneficiary who happens to be a staff of Boripe LGA thanked Almighty God and the sponsor of the program for this great opportunity which will no doubt go a long way in improving the visual health of the beneficiaries. She also prayed to God to reward the sponsor abundantly.

Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion are the Alhaji Kareem Afolabi,  Boripe APC chairman, Omooba Muftau Omogboye Okongo,  Iyaloja, CAN Chairman, Representative of Muslim Community, party Secretary, Adeniran Adebayo, Youth leader, Mr Lamidi Mudasiru, Prince Aderemi M.O, Hon.
