Osun 2026: Olohunlalaro Storms Oja Oba Market, Ikirun, Engages Alarobo Traders, Seeks Massive Support for AMBO, Donates ₦1 Million to Boost Their Businesses

In continuation of his intensive grassroots consultation and mobilization ahead of the August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdulraheem Muhammed Saheed Omokehinde Akofe, popularly known as Olohunlalaro, on Saturday evening paid a strategic visit to Oja Oba Market, Ikirun, where he held an interactive meeting with members of the Egbe Alarobo (Foodstuff Traders Association).
The engagement formed part of Olohunlalaro’s ongoing consultations with market women, traders, artisans, transport unions and other key stakeholders across Ifelodun Local Government to consolidate grassroots support for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
Addressing the traders, Olohunlalaro commended the resilience and contributions of market men and women to the economic growth of Osun State, describing them as the backbone of commerce and community development. He assured them that an AMBO-led administration would implement people-oriented policies aimed at improving market infrastructure, enhancing security in commercial centres, expanding economic opportunities and empowering traders to thrive.
As a demonstration of his commitment to the economic wellbeing of grassroots traders, Olohunlalaro announced a cash donation of ₦1 million to support members of the Egbe Alarobo in strengthening and expanding their businesses. He noted that empowering small-scale traders remains essential to stimulating local economic growth and improving household livelihoods.
He urged members of the association to remain steadfast in their support for the APC and to mobilize their families, friends, neighbours and customers to vote massively for AMBO on August 15, emphasizing that the APC candidate possesses the experience, competence and visionary leadership needed to restore Osun State to the path of sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
According to Olohunlalaro:
“Markets are the heartbeat of our communities because they drive commerce and provide livelihoods for thousands of families. Your votes will determine the future of Osun. I urge every trader here to become an ambassador of the APC by canvassing support for AMBO. Together, we can restore good governance, create greater economic opportunities and build a more prosperous Osun for everyone.”
Receiving the donation on behalf of the association, the leadership of the Egbe Alarobo expressed profound appreciation to Olohunlalaro for his generosity and unwavering support for market women and traders. They described him as a humble, accessible and compassionate leader who has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare and economic empowerment of ordinary people.
The association pledged its unwavering support for the APC governorship candidate, assuring Olohunlalaro that members of the market would work tirelessly to mobilize votes for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) and ensure the party’s victory in the August 15 governorship election.
The visit concluded with the presentation of the ₦1 million business support donation, warm interactions with traders, prayers for the success of the APC, and a renewed commitment by members of the association to deliver overwhelming support for the AMBO/Kayode ticket as the governorship election draws closer.
