​Eko-Eende Day 2026: Olohunlalaro Donates ₦5 Million for Community Development, Rallies Support for AMBO

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdulraheem Muhammed Saheed Omokehinde Akofe, popularly known as Olohunlalaro, on Saturday joined sons and daughters of Eko-Eende at the 2026 edition of the annual Eko-Eende Day Celebration, where he reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development with a donation of ₦5 million towards the community’s developmental projects.

The colourful event attracted eminent personalities, traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, and indigenes from within and outside Nigeria, providing an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, unity, and remarkable progress of the ancient town.

Speaking during the event, Olohunlalaro commended the organizers for sustaining the annual celebration over the years, describing it as a vital platform for fostering peace, strengthening unity, and promoting collective development among the people of Eko-Eende.

Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to community advancement, he announced a donation of ₦5 million to support ongoing and future developmental projects in the town. He emphasized that meaningful and sustainable development can only be achieved through the collective efforts of governments, community leaders, and public-spirited individuals.

According to him, investing in local communities remains one of the most effective ways of improving the living standards of the people and stimulating socio-economic growth. He assured the people of Eko-Eende of his continued support for initiatives that would bring lasting development not only to the community but also to other parts of Osun State.

Olohunlalaro also used the occasion to rally support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

He described AMBO as a leader with the experience, competence, integrity, and vision needed to restore purposeful governance, accelerate infrastructural development, create economic opportunities, and reposition Osun State on the path of sustainable prosperity.

He urged the people of Eko-Eende to mobilize their families, friends, neighbours, and eligible voters to cast their votes for AMBO and all APC candidates, stressing that the forthcoming election presents a unique opportunity to enthrone quality leadership and secure a brighter future for Osun State.

The announcement of the donation was greeted with thunderous applause from the audience as community leaders and residents expressed appreciation for Olohunlalaro’s generosity, consistency, and enduring commitment to grassroots development.
