Osun 2026: SPAIN’S RECKLESS STATEMENT EXPOSES THE DESPERATION OF A FAILED POLITICAL CAMP

Our attention has been drawn to the reckless, misleading and politically motivated statements credited to Sarafa Awotunde (Spain) against our leader, Alh. Abdulraheem Muhammed-Saheed Omokehinde Akofe Olohunlalaro.
It is unfortunate that instead of engaging the people with facts, ideas and a vision for the future, Spain has chosen the path of falsehood, character attacks and needless propaganda. Such conduct reflects the frustration of a political camp that has clearly lost touch with the people.
Even more disappointing is that someone who is well acquainted with Olohunlalaro’s longstanding generosity and commitment to humanity would now attempt to malign the same man for political convenience. The people of Ikirun know who has consistently invested in their welfare through empowerment, education, humanitarian support and community development.
No amount of blackmail or misinformation can erase years of selfless service. The people can distinguish between genuine leadership built on sacrifice and opportunistic politics driven by desperation.
We therefore advise Sarafa Awotunde (Spain) to refrain from making inflammatory and unsubstantiated allegations. Political contests should be based on issues, policies and performance—not personal attacks designed to mislead the public.
As the August 15, 2026 governorship election approaches, Team NARON remains focused on grassroots mobilisation and supporting the election of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). We will not be distracted by desperate propaganda.
History will remember those who built communities not those who tried to destroy reputations with baseless accusations.
