​ODEBUNMI HAILS ERO ARIKE’S DEFECTION TO APC, ASSURES NEW MEMBERS OF INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP, RALLIES SUPPORT FOR AMBO

The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Odebunmi, has warmly welcomed Alhaja Falilat Arike Yusuff (Ero Arike) and over 800 of her supporters into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing their decision to join the progressive family as a major political boost and a clear demonstration of the growing confidence of the people in the APC ahead of the August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

Speaking during the colourful reception held in Boripe Local Government, Hon. Odebunmi described the mass defection as another landmark achievement for the party, noting that the increasing number of prominent political figures and their supporters joining the APC is a testament to the credibility, unity, and people-oriented leadership the party represents.

According to the Council Chairman, the entrance of Ero Arike and her supporters has further strengthened the APC’s grassroots structure across Boripe Local Government and positioned the party for a decisive victory at the forthcoming governorship election.

Hon. Odebunmi commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for his exemplary leadership, political foresight, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC across Osun State. He noted that Oyetola’s leadership has continued to unite party members, inspire confidence, and attract progressive-minded individuals into the APC.

He also applauded Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) for running an issue-based and people-centred campaign that continues to resonate with residents across the state, expressing confidence that Osun people are prepared to embrace a new era of purposeful leadership.

While congratulating Ero Arike on her decision to join the APC, Hon. Odebunmi assured her and all the new members of equal opportunities, inclusiveness, and active participation in the affairs of the party. He urged them to remain steadfast, loyal, and committed to the collective mission of securing victory for the APC.

“The people of Boripe have spoken with one voice. Our resolve is unwavering, and our destination is clear. By the grace of God, Boripe Local Government will deliver overwhelming votes for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) and his running mate, Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, on August 15. Together, we will consolidate on the progressive ideals championed by our leader, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and usher in a government that will restore development, prosperity, and good governance to Osun State,” Odebunmi stated.

The reception was attended by party leaders, stakeholders, elected and appointed officials, women and youth groups, community leaders, and hundreds of enthusiastic supporters, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and pledged total support for AMBO’s victory at the polls.
