June 12 Democracy Day: Boripe Council Chairman Tasks Residents On Democratic Values, Seeks Votes For Oyebamiji
The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government Council Area, Iragbiji, Osun State, Hon. Sikiru Odebunmi, has called on residents and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain steadfast and mobilize support for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
In his message commemorating the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, Hon. Odebunmi described June 12 as a historic milestone that symbolizes the triumph of the people’s will, democratic ideals, and the sacrifices of patriots who fought for the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.
He urged the people of Boripe Local Government and Osun State at large to continue to uphold the values of unity, peace, and good governance, noting that democracy thrives when citizens actively participate in the electoral process and support leaders with proven capacity, competence, and vision.
According to the Boripe Council Chairman, the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the APC governorship candidate presents Osun State with another opportunity to experience purposeful leadership, economic prosperity, and people-oriented governance.
Hon. Odebunmi expressed confidence that the people of Osun State would make the right choice on August 15 by electing Oyebamiji as governor. He assured residents that his administration at the local government level would continue to prioritize grassroots development, improve service delivery, and implement initiatives that would enhance the welfare and well-being of the people.
He congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day and prayed for continued peace, unity, progress, and sustainable development in Osun State and the country at large.
