Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have intensified mobilisation efforts ahead of the August 15 governorship election with a donation of N30 million to the party’s women and youth wings in support of the governorship aspiration of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

The donation was jointly made by Hon. Femi Oyetola, Hon. Francis Damilare Eniade, the APC candidate for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode (ITK), the party’s candidate for Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, at an event held at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office, Osogbo.

Speaking on behalf of the donors, Oyetola said the financial support was aimed at appreciating and commending the women and youths of the party for their unwavering commitment, sacrifice and continuous efforts in keeping the APC vibrant, united and formidable across the state.

He noted that the gesture was also in recognition of the critical role being played by women and young people in grassroots mobilisation, voter engagement and the consolidation of the party’s structures ahead of the governorship poll.

The APC chieftains stressed that beyond appreciation, the intervention was intended to awaken the consciousness of party faithful, particularly women and youths, to redouble their efforts and work even harder to secure victory for AMBO in the August 15 election.

Oyetola said: “We are here today to appreciate our women and youths who have remained resolute, committed and steadfast in sustaining the structures of our great party across Osun State. Their sacrifices, loyalty and hard work have kept the APC vibrant and formidable, and it is only proper that we acknowledge and reward their efforts.

“This support is not merely a token of appreciation; it is also a call to greater action. The August 15 governorship election is of immense importance to the future of Osun State and we believe our women and youths must continue to play their leading roles in ensuring victory for our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). We must all do more work and leave nothing to chance.

“Our women and youths are the engine room of every successful political campaign. They are the foot soldiers who take our message to every household, every community and every polling unit. We are therefore encouraging them to intensify mobilisation efforts and ensure that the APC records a resounding victory at the polls.

“Beyond the forthcoming election, we are determined to strengthen the party and give our women and youths a stronger voice within the APC. A political party can only thrive when all its critical stakeholders are empowered and carried along. This support is a demonstration of our commitment to building a stronger, more united and more inclusive APC for the benefit of all members.”

Party members who witnessed the presentation described the donation as a timely intervention capable of boosting morale among party faithful and energising grassroots supporters ahead of the crucial governorship election.
