Condolence Message: Chief (Barr.) Abimbola Amusan Commiserates with APC National Secretary, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, Over the Passing of His Beloved Mother

I received the heartbreaking news of the passing of the beloved mother of our national leader and the National Secretary of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, with a very heavy heart and a profound sense of shock.
The departure of a mother, no matter how long she was spared to walk this earth with us— is a deeply visceral and irreplaceable loss that shakes the very foundation of a home. No amount of words can instantly take away the sharp pain that pierces the hearts of her children, but I can only encourage my leader, Dr. Basiru, to find an anchor of solace in the exceptionally worthy life Mama lived, the values she instilled, and the rich legacy of love she left behind.
In moments of such profound grief, we are reminded that a mother’s life is like a steady lamp whose ultimate success is measured by the brilliance of the light she passes on to the world. We find relief in knowing that the venerable matriarch lived a completely fulfilled and impactful life, having beautifully raised, nurtured, guided, and imbibed uncommon courage in our sterling leader, Dr. Ajibola Basiru. Truly, Mama gave to our nation one of the brightest minds it will ever need, and her essence lives on powerfully through his continuous service to humanity.
As my mentor and a leader I look up to, I personally extend my heartfelt condolences to Dr. Ajibola Basiru, his immediate family, friends, and the entire APC family during this grieving period. While the void left by a mother is painfully wide, we take firm consolation in the comforting words of Allah (SWT) that those who remain patient and steadfast during difficult times will surely receive their beautiful reward.
I pray that Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, grants Mama Aljanat Firdaus and permits her to drink from the pristine rivers of Paradise. May He grant the entire family the enduring fortitude to bear this immense loss, and wrap them in His divine comfort throughout this trying period. Amin.
