In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir, Barrister Yomi Ogunwale, former aspirant for Osun Central Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), hosted a colourful Ileya Get-Together Party with members of the Yomi Ogunwale Foundation at his residence in Iragbiji.

The event brought together party faithful, community leaders, youths, women groups, and foundation members from across Osun Central in an atmosphere of unity, celebration, and reflection on the lessons of sacrifice and love symbolized by the Eid festival.

In attendance were Boripe APC Party Chairman, Prince Mufutau Omogboye (OKONGO); Boripe APC Secretary, Hon. Prince Adeniran Adebayo; Yomi Ogunwale Foundation ward coordinators; and other members and stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, Barr. Ogunwale expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and the opportunity to celebrate with his people. He commended members of the Yomi Ogunwale Foundation for their steadfastness and community service, noting that the foundation remains committed to education, empowerment, and welfare programmes across the state.

In his remarks, the legal practitioner and politician reaffirmed his unflinching loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared total support for the governorship ambition of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) ahead of the 2026 polls.

“Our party, the APC, remains the vehicle for sustainable development in Osun. As we celebrate Ileya, we must also renew our commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of our state. I stand fully with AMBO. He is the leader Osun needs to prosper, and we will mobilize every ward, every unit, and every household in Osun Central to ensure his victory come 2026,” Ogunwale stated.

Speaking at the event, Boripe APC Party Chairman, Prince Mufutau Omogboye (OKONGO), commended Barr. Ogunwale for his commitment to the progressive family. “After the primary election, you still showed your loyalty and commitment towards the victory of our party. This is commendable,” Prince Omogboye added.

Leaders of the Yomi Ogunwale Foundation and APC stakeholders at the event echoed his position, pledging to intensify grassroots mobilization for the party and for AMBO’s candidacy.

The Ileya Get-Together featured prayers for the state and nation, sharing of Sallah meals, and distribution of gifts to attendees.
