As part of activities marking the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration, the Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Odebunmi, has announced the recall of teachers and health workers disengaged by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking on Thursday at the Boripe Local Government Secretariat, Iragbiji, during a meeting with the affected workers, Hon. Odebunmi said the decision was taken to correct injustice, restore dignity to labour, and strengthen service delivery in schools and primary health centres across the local government.

“The sacking of these teachers and health workers brought hardship to families and set back our education and health sectors. Today, as we mark Workers’ Day, we are righting that wrong. You are recalled with immediate effect,” the Chairman declared.

Hon. Odebunmi charged the reinstated workers to reciprocate the gesture with hard work, discipline, and renewed commitment to duty. He further urged them to mobilize their families, colleagues, and communities to ensure the return of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to power in Osun State.

“This is not just about your jobs; it is about the future of Osun. We must all work hard to restore an APC government that prioritizes workers’ welfare, prompt salaries, and job security,” he said.

Beneficiaries at the meeting expressed gratitude to the Chairman and the APC leadership, describing the recall as “a May Day gift” and pledging to be good ambassadors of the council.

Hon. Odebunmi reaffirmed Boripe LG’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights and promoting policies that deliver real _Renewed Hope_ at the grassroots.
