Eid-ul-Adha: Badmus Links Sacrifice to Leadership, Urges Osun Residents to Choose Wisely

Honourable Olalekan Badmus, Director of Marine and Operations at the Nigerian Ports Authority, has used the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to call for a renewed commitment to humanity, responsible leadership, and collective progress in Osun State.

In his goodwill message, Badmus congratulated Muslim faithful on witnessing the sacred festival, describing Eid-ul-Adha as a season that reflects the highest ideals of sacrifice, obedience, and concern for others. 

He urged citizens to let these values shape not only personal conduct but also public decisions that affect the future of Osun State.

According to him, the true essence of the celebration lies in prioritizing the common good, supporting one another, and embracing leaders who reflect the principles of service, accountability, and vision.

“Eid-ul-Adha reminds us that sacrifice is not just an individual act, but a responsibility to humanity. As a people, we must continue to stand for what is right, support initiatives that uplift our State, and align ourselves with leadership that reflects our shared aspirations,” he said.

Extending his greetings to the people of Osun State, Badmus emphasized the importance of unity and thoughtful civic participation, noting that the choices made by citizens play a critical role in shaping the state’s direction.

He expressed optimism that Osun residents would continue to act in the interest of peace, development, and sustainable progress, while also praying for enduring stability and prosperity across the state and Nigeria at large.
