EID EL KABIR: LET US UPHOLD THE VALUES OF SACRIFICE, COMPASSION AND UNITY, APATA URGES
I heartily congratulate Muslim faithful across Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year's Eid El Kabir celebration, a sacred festival that reminds us of the virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
As we commemorate this important occasion, we are once again reminded of the inspiring example of Prophet Ibrahim whose unwavering devotion and readiness to make the ultimate sacrifice in obedience to Allah continue to serve as enduring lessons for humanity.
The significance of Eid El Kabir extends beyond the ritual of sacrifice, as it calls on all of us to demonstrate greater love for one another, show compassion to the needy, support the vulnerable and place the collective interest of society above personal considerations.
At a time when many families and communities are facing economic and social challenges, the spirit of sharing, generosity and kindness which defines this festival should guide our actions and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one people.
I also urge our citizens to continue to promote peace, religious tolerance and harmonious coexistence, recognising that sustainable development and prosperity can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity, mutual respect and understanding.
As families, friends and loved ones gather to celebrate, I encourage everyone to remain security conscious, law abiding and committed to the values that foster stability and progress in our communities and across our state.
May Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, bless every home with peace and abundance, grant our nation renewed hope and prosperity, and preserve us all in good health to witness many more Eid El Kabir celebrations.
