Eid al-Adha 2026: Odebunmi Greets Muslims in Boripe LG, Advocates Peaceful Coexistence During Sallah Celebrations
The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Odebunmi, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the local government as they join the global Ummah to mark Eid al-Adha 2026.
In his Sallah message issued through his Media Office, Hon. Odebunmi described Eid al-Adha as a festival rooted in sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the command of Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He urged Muslims in Boripe to celebrate with moderation and to use the period to strengthen the bonds of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among all residents, irrespective of religious affiliation.
“Eid al-Adha teaches us submission, compassion, and sharing. As we mark this sacred celebration, I call on all our people to promote peace, show love, and maintain harmony in our communities. That is the only way Boripe can continue to thrive,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Odebunmi also enjoined Muslims to pray for the peace, security, and prosperity of Boripe Local Government, Osun State, and Nigeria, noting that collective prayer remains a strong pillar for national development.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and hitch-free Sallah celebration, assuring them of his administration’s commitment to policies that guarantee safety and welfare for all.
