The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Odebunmi Sikiru , has commenced the payment of salaries to OYES cadets and recalled sacked teachers and health workers in the local government, with payments taking effect from April.

The move, announced by the Chairman’s Media Unit, is part of the commitment of Osun APC local Government Chairmen under the ALGON OSUN  to address inherited salary backlogs and restore dignity to affected workers across the council.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Odebunmi said his administration prioritizes workers’ welfare and believes prompt payment of entitlements is critical to effective service delivery at the grassroots.

“We met unpaid entitlements for our OYES cadets, teachers, and health workers. Effective April, we have started clearing them. This is about justice and motivation. When workers are paid, our schools and health centres function better,” the Chairman stated.

Beneficiaries of the payment have commended the Chairman, describing the intervention as a major relief after months of uncertainty.

Hon. Odebunmi reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue running an inclusive government that prioritizes human capital development and grassroots empowerment.
