Boripe LG Chairman, Hon. Odebunmi Sikiru Distributes Over 200 Bags of Rice, Cows and Rams for Eid-el-Kabir
The Executive Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Odebunmi Sikiru, has distributed over 200 bags of rice, a cow, and rams to residents and stakeholders across the local government ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
The distribution was structured at 10 bags of rice per ward, with special allocations for Imams and Alfas across the local government to support religious leaders and their congregations during the festive period.
Speaking at the local government secretariat, Hon. Odebunmi said the gesture aligns with the spirit of sacrifice and sharing that defines Eid-el-Kabir, noting that his administration remains committed to the welfare of constituents despite prevailing economic challenges.
“Eid-el-Kabir teaches us love, sacrifice, and community. The 10 bags per ward ensures it gets to the grassroots, and we specifically included our Imams and Alfas because they are key pillars in our communities. This is to make sure no home is left out of the celebration,” the Chairman stated.
Beneficiaries, including ward leaders, religious groups, party members, and vulnerable residents, described the intervention as timely and commended the Chairman for his inclusive approach.
Hon. Odebunmi also felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Boripe and Osun State, urging prayers for peace, unity, and progress of the state and Nigeria.
