Osun All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s chances ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, declaring that the APC is well positioned for victory in Osun State.

Oyebamiji made this known while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Osun State, led by Ambassador Oluomo Sunday Akere, during a courtesy visit. He described the group as a formidable grassroots mobilisation platform whose reach and structure across the state would make a meaningful difference in the party’s push for electoral success.

He said the strength of the movement at the community level gives further assurance that the APC is on course for victory, adding that he remains fully committed to supporting the group as it expands its efforts in the interest of the party and its shared political objectives.

Speaking on his vision for Osun, Oyebamiji said his ambition is driven by a desire to deliver responsible and responsive leadership that directly improves the lives of ordinary people. According to him, governance must work for the people in practical terms and reflect their expectations for better welfare, stronger institutions and purposeful leadership.

In his remarks, Ambassador Akere reaffirmed the commitment of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors across the state’s 30 local government areas, 332 wards and 3,763 units, pledging sustained mobilisation for the victory of the APC in the coming governorship election and future electoral contests.

He commended Oyebamiji for his steady support and encouragement, describing his backing as a boost to the group’s resolve. As part of the visit, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors also presented souvenirs to the APC candidate in a gesture of solidarity and goodwill.
