Security: Osun Council Chairmen To Handover 300 Security Motorcycles Today

The Chairmen of Local Government Areas in Osun under the umbrella of All Local Governments Association of Nigeria, ALGON, Osun State Chapter have disclosed the flagoff, official distribution and handover of the newly-purchased security motorcycles to the security agencies in the state today, Tuesday 14th April, 2026.

The Council Chairmen, in a statement signed by Osun ALGON Chairman, Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun hinted that the security tools will be handed over by 10:00am at the main frontage field of the Police headquarters, ring road, Osogbo.

"The ceremony will last only for one hour. In the light of the above, the flag off and distribution of the 300 security motorcycles will be distributed to the beneficiaries right on the Police headquarters field tomorrow, Tuesday.

"Each of the Councils had already purchased 10 security motorcycles out of which 3 will be given to the Police in each Council, 2 for DSS, 2 for Civil defence, 1 for Vigilante, 1 for Hunters and 1 for Local/ Community Security in every Council across the state", the statement disclosed.
