Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have urged party chieftains, including Chief Bisi Akande, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola , and the party’s national secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru , to prioritise youth inclusion in the allocation of House of Representatives tickets ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.

The call was made during a strategy meeting of party stakeholders, including youth leaders in Ila Federal Constituency, convened as part of preparations for ongoing house-to-house campaigns ahead of the Osun governorship election and the 2027 general polls.

The stakeholders also pledged to resist vote-buying, stressing the need for credible electoral processes.

Speaking on behalf of the constituency leaders, the APC Youth Leader in Ifedayo, Hon. Azeez Kazeem, appealed to both state and national leaders of the party to consider Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin  (AIO), described as a political protégé of Chief Akande, for the House of Representatives ticket in the area.

He argued that such a move would enhance the party’s electoral prospects.

“We are confident that the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji , will win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, and we are equally optimistic that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election,” he said.
