Osun 2026: Ede Witnesses Unprecedented Turnout As APATA For AMBO Rally Expands Its Reach
Another in the series of the APATA for AMBO Walk to Live and Win Rally was held on Tuesday, sponsored by Osun State based philanthropist and leading senatorial aspirant for Osun West Senatorial District, Chief, Dr Peter Taiwo Ogundeji, APATA, in a show of strength and solidarity for the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
The event, staged in Ede, the headquarters of Ede Federal Constituency, attracted a large turnout of party faithful drawn from Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Local Government Areas, underscoring growing grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 15 August, 2026 gubernatorial election.
Describing the rally, the sponsor, Chief Ogundeji, noted that the Ede outing stands as the “mother” of the earlier rallies held across Ayedire, Iwo and OlaOluwa Federal Constituency, as well as Ayedaade, Irewole and Isokan Federal Constituency, in terms of scale, energy, and impact.
The rally commenced at the APC Secretariat, Oke Gada, Ede North, and moved through major points, including Agip Junction, Ogberin, Oloki Junction, and Bode Junction, before culminating at the historic Timi Palace Square, covering a distance of over three kilometres amid high enthusiasm and coordinated participation.
Addressing supporters, Chief, Dr Peter Ogundeji, APATA, called for intensified mobilisation across the constituency to secure a decisive victory for Oyebamiji at the polls.
Chief Ogundeji also sought continued support for his senatorial aspiration, assuring party members of his unwavering commitment to the ideals, agenda, and progressive vision of the APC.
In his remarks, party chieftain, Elder Omoyele Alabi, urged members to remain united, focused, and resolute in their determination to deliver victory for the party, stressing that cohesion remains critical to electoral success.
The event also witnessed the presence of other key political stakeholders, including local government chairmen, Hon Kola Salami, Ede South, Hon Elliot Adeyemi, Ede North, and Hon Isa Akinwale, Egbedore, alongside party executives, the State Youth Leader, Hon Adegoke Akinwemimo, and the Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon Imran Adekunle, Osama, all of whom emphasised that the success of the forthcoming election depends on the collective commitment of all stakeholders.
Party members who spoke at the event expressed strong optimism about Oyebamiji’s chances, pointing to the impressive turnout and spirited participation as clear indicators of widespread acceptance and support.
The rally concluded at Timi Palace Square, marking yet another significant milestone in the sustained mobilisation drive for the APC candidate in the build up to the gubernatorial election.
