Femi Oyetola’s Aquaculture Training Empowers 100 Osun Youths

A three-day aquaculture and fish farming training programme spearheaded by Femi Oyetola has officially commenced in Osun State, attracting 100 young participants from across the state.

The initiative, designed to tackle youth unemployment and promote sustainable livelihoods, began on a strong note with a well-organized opening ceremony, followed immediately by intensive practical sessions in fisheries.

Representing the convener at the event, Kehinde Ayantunji commended the participants for their enthusiasm and urged them to take full advantage of the opportunity to acquire valuable skills.

Participants remained actively engaged throughout the opening sessions, taking detailed notes and describing the programme as impactful and timely.

The training curriculum spans critical areas such as aquaculture management, pond construction, fish breeding techniques, feed formulation, and agribusiness development. Organizers say the programme is strategically structured to equip participants with hands-on knowledge needed to become self-reliant entrepreneurs in Nigeria’s growing aquaculture sector.

The initiative underscores a broader commitment to youth empowerment and economic development, positioning aquaculture as a viable pathway for job creation and food security.
