Easter: Obokun LGA Boss, Engr. Maaroof Ogundipe Felicitates Christians, Preaches Love, Unity and Compassion as Tools for Peaceful Coexistence

The Executive Chairman of Obokun Local Government, Engr. Maaroof Kayode Ogundipe , has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Obokun LGA and across Osun State, urging them to uphold the enduring values of love, unity, and compassion as essential ingredients for peaceful coexistence.

In a statement released to mark the Easter celebration, Engr. Ogundipe described the season as a sacred reminder of the sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which symbolizes hope, renewal, and the victory of good over evil.

He noted that Easter offers a unique opportunity for reflection and rededication to the principles of selflessness, tolerance, and mutual respect among individuals, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

“Easter is a powerful reminder of the triumph of love over hatred and life over death. It calls on us all to embrace compassion, extend a helping hand to one another, and foster unity in our communities,” he said, adding that “a society built on love and mutual respect will always rise above division, creating lasting peace and shared progress for all.”

The council boss emphasized the need for residents of Obokun to continue living in harmony, stressing that peace remains a vital foundation for sustainable development and collective progress.

He further encouraged Christians to use the season to pray for the continued peace, stability, and growth of Obokun Local Government, Osun State, and Nigeria at large.
