The political atmosphere within Odo Otin Local Government is gradually taking a clearer and more coordinated shape as stakeholders intensify alignment ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.

At a recent Apex meeting attended by respected elders and party leaders, discussions were direct, honest, and solution driven. The focus was not on introducing new positions, but on strengthening existing consensus and ensuring that all interests move in one direction.

The treacherous antics of PDP in Odo Otin Local Government were quickly discovered, and the meeting resolved to deal with it appropriately, sending a clear signal that vigilance and proactive action are required to safeguard the party’s interests.

The message from the elderstatesmen; Oluomo Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun and Akinrogun Poju Odusola and others were firm. This is a defining moment that requires unity, discipline, and maturity from all stakeholders.

While acknowledging that support for Bola Oyebamiji had already been established months ago, the meeting emphasized the urgent need for total alignment across all factions. The concern was not about who to support, but how effectively that support is consolidated into a winning structure.

The elders stressed that political victories are not secured by endorsements alone, but by cohesion, coordination, and the ability to mobilize without internal resistance. Any lingering divisions, no matter how minor, were identified as potential setbacks that must be addressed immediately.

In practical terms, the call was clear. All tendencies within the local government must now close ranks, harmonize their efforts, and commit fully to a common objective. The strength of the structure will ultimately determine the strength of the outcome.

Beyond the governorship, the meeting also reaffirmed support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, stressing that continuity at the federal level remains strategically important for stability, ongoing reforms, and sustained national progress.

What stood out throughout the deliberations was a shared understanding that timing is critical. The window for internal adjustments is limited, and the advantage will belong to those who organize early and move as one.

What is emerging from Odo Otin is not a new endorsement, but a consolidation of purpose. The direction is already set. The responsibility now is to align, unite, and deliver.
