Romeo Joins Oyetola, Oyebamiji, SRJ, Other APC Leaders as Party Receives Wole Oke, Fadahunsi, Others into APC

Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, frontline 2027 House of Representatives Aspirant for Osogbo Federal Constituency and Chairman of the Romeo Foundation, on Saturday joined top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State to formally receive prominent federal lawmakers who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.

The grand reception, widely described as a major political turning point in Osun, witnessed the official welcome of Senator Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East Senatorial District), Hon. Oluwole Oke (Ijesha North Federal Constituency), Hon. Sanya Omirin (Ijesha South Federal Constituency), Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central Senatorial District), and Hon. Taofeeq Ajilesoro (Ife Federal Constituency), alongside their massive supporters across the state.

The historic event drew the presence of the Honourable Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, CON; the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru (SRJ); the Osun APC Governorship Candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO); and other notable stakeholders and party chieftains.

Speaking at the gathering, party leaders described the defections as a clear sign of renewed confidence in the APC’s leadership and direction, expressing optimism that the development would further strengthen the party’s structure ahead of August 8th governorship elections, just as they expressed confidence that the addition of the lawmakers and their teeming supporters would guarantee victory for the party's candidate and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, who was actively involved in the reception, described the influx of seasoned lawmakers into the APC as a strategic boost for the party’s grassroots mobilization and consolidation efforts across Osun State. He reiterated his commitment to working with party leaders and stakeholders to ensure APC’s continued dominance and electoral success.

In continuation of his high-level consultations and strategic engagements regarding his 2027 House of Representatives aspiration, Romeo also paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, at his Iragbiji country home. The visit, according to close aides, focused on strengthening party unity and aligning progressive forces toward shared developmental goals for Osogbo Federal Constituency and Osun State at large.
