A foremost aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking to represent Osun Central Senatorial District in the Senate, Barrister Yomi Ogunwale has extended special greetings to both Muslims and Christians as the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent are being observed simultaneously this year.

In his goodwill message, Barr. Ogunwale emphasized the importance of unity, love, sacrifice, and devotion to God, noting that the concurrent observance of Ramadan and Lent is a powerful reminder of shared values between the two faiths—faith, compassion, self-discipline, and service to humanity.

He sent warm wishes to the Muslim faithful, praying that the holy month brings peace, spiritual renewal, and abundant blessings.

“Ramadan Kareem to our wonderful Muslim brothers and sisters. May every Taraweeh feel special, every Iftar bring joy, and every supplication (dua) be accepted. Ameen. May this sacred month fill your hearts with love, light, and renewed strength.”

He also encouraged Christians observing Lent to remain steadfast in prayer, reflection, and acts of charity, urging them to draw closer to God and continue to show kindness to those in need.

Barrister Ogunwale further called on residents of Osun Central and the entire state to use this sacred period as an opportunity to strengthen interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence. According to him, the simultaneous observance of Ramadan and Lent presents a rare and beautiful moment for collective reflection and renewed commitment to moral values.

He reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive representation, promising that his aspiration to serve in the Senate is driven by a desire to promote unity, fairness, and development for all—regardless of religion or background.
