Barr. Seun Odofin Engages Oriade Party Leadership in Preparation for the 2026 Gubernatorial Election
The respected Chairman and Founder of Odofin Oasis Foundation, Barr. Seun Odofin, conducted a series of strategic engagements with the leadership and executive members of the Oriade Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday 14th January, 2026. The meetings, held at the residence of High Chief Gabriel Emiola Ogunsanya, were convened to foster unity, consolidate support, and outline a coordinated campaign strategy ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for 8th August 2026.
*First Session – Oriade Local Government Party Executives and Ward Chairmen*
The session commenced with a welcome address by the Local Government Party Chairman, Chief Ajewole (popularly known as “Golo”), who underscored the imperative of cohesion, collective responsibility, and unwavering support for the party’s candidates. Chief Ajewole affirmed the full backing of the Oriade party structure for Barr. Odofin, describing him as a dependable pillar of the party.
In his response, Barr. Odofin expressed gratitude to the executives and ward chairmen for their steadfast commitment. He reiterated the necessity of sacrifice, loyalty, and a shared vision for party success at all levels. He also announced his readiness to contest again in the 2027 general elections, seeking continued support from party faithful.
An interactive dialogue ensued, during which speakers commended Barr. Odofin’s resilience and dedication. Participants urged party leaders to adopt proactive measures to prevent a recurrence of the setbacks experienced in the 2023 elections.
*Second Session – Expanded Leadership Meeting*
The second meeting, presided over by High Chief Gabriel Emiola Ogunsanya, reinforced the spirit of a political family. The gathering, attended by Hon. Rufus Oluwatayo, Hon. Chief Ade Ajibola, Baba Komolafe, Chief Kayode Ajewole, Hon. Goke Awotunde, Hon. Israel Aloba, Hon. Felix Aboge, Hon. Ajimati (LCDA Oriade South Chairman), the Local Government Women Leader, Hon. Sunkanmi Ogunsanya, and other distinguished officials, concluded with a unanimous resolution to endorse Barr. Seun Odofin’s candidature for the Ijesa North Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.

The successful deliberations in Oriade will be followed by a critical meeting with party stakeholders in Obokun Local Government on 15 January 2026. The Obokun Local Government executive session will be held at the party secretariat in Ibokun, while a leadership meeting with Barr. Odofin is scheduled for Imesi‑Ile.
