His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odudun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbijiland, on Saturday, 24th January 2026, graced the 70th Birthday and Book Launch of Prince Kola Afolabi, titled “The Resilient Prince of Hope,” held at Double Hill Holiday Inn (Chicago Hotel), Iragbiji, Osun State.

The monarch attended the historic occasion as the Royal Father of the Day, accompanied by the Olororuwo of Ororuwo, the Alaagba of Aagba, members of the Aragbiji-in-Council, and palace staff, adding royal splendour and dignity to the well-attended ceremony.

In his royal address during the public presentation of the autobiography, Oba Olabomi extolled Prince Kola Afolabi as a resilient, visionary, and patriotic son of Iragbijiland whose life journey reflects perseverance, service, and hope. The Aragbiji described the book as a valuable contribution to leadership discourse and a source of inspiration for younger generations, urging the public to embrace its lessons of courage and nation-building.

The monarch also offered heartfelt prayers for the celebrant, praying for continued good health, divine wisdom, long life, and greater accomplishments, while wishing him enduring relevance and fulfillment in his post-70 years.

A major highlight of the event was the formal unveiling and launching of the book, The Resilient Prince of Hope, in which Oba Olabomi played a prominent role alongside other royal fathers, distinguished guests, and chief presenters. The lecture delivered by the Guest Lecturer, Dr. (Amb.) Yemi Farounbi, provided deep socio-political and economic insights that further enriched the occasion.

The atmosphere later transitioned into moments of celebration as the Aragbiji joined the celebrant in song, dance, and photo opportunities, creating memorable royal-celebrant interactions that underscored the warmth and cultural depth of the event.
