The Osun West APC Youth Leaders and the youths of the party across the senatorial district have insisted that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) remains their preferred candidate, passing a unanimous vote of confidence in his candidacy.

This renewed declaration comes a few weeks after the youths converged in Iwo Local Government, the headquarters of Osun West Senatorial District, to urge the party to zone the 2026 governorship ticket to the district. However, unlike the previous meeting, this latest gathering was specifically convened to endorse AMBO and unanimously affirm his suitability as the party’s candidate.

In his welcome address, the convener, Hon. Ghaffar Ayodeji Ajani popularly known as Ghaff Unity said the gathering was meant to send a clear and unmistakable message to the leadership of the APC at the local, state, and national levels.

“Our gathering here today is to make a statement,” he said. “We are here to convey our humble request to the leadership of our great party that the 2026 governorship ticket be zoned to Osun West. And within Osun West, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji should be allowed to fly the party’s flag.”

Hon. Ajani described AMBO as a performer, innovator, and visionary leader who has excelled in both the private and public sectors, adding that the district is confident in his capacity to reposition Osun State.

During the event, the Youth Leaders led by Comrade Mojeed Imran called on Engr. Adesoye Ajani, the Youth Leader of Ayedire Local Government, to move a motion for a vote of confidence in AMBO’s candidacy. The motion was unanimously seconded by all youth and women leaders present at the gathering.

The endorsement event attracted a wide array of party stakeholders, including Hon. Bade Falade, former member of the House of Representatives from Ede Federal Constituency; Hon. Abd’Gafar Amere, former House of Representatives member from Iwo Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Amidu Tadese, Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission Board, Hon.
