The Time for Unity is Now: Aragbiji's Message to Yoruba Monarchs

SPECIAL APPEAL TO ALL OBAS IN YORUBALAND TO STOP THIS DANCING NAKED IN THE MARKET SQUARE.

I like to passionately plead with all Obas in Yorubaland to stop the current wave of social media fisticuffs. 

Rather than concentrating on what can  unite us,promote development and provide a platform that can facilitate security of lives and properties of our people, some of our people are busy with personal aggrandisement, ego-seeking and with other mundane divisive utterances. 

The situation is so bad that many of our youths including people outside our clime now look at us scornfully . We are fast loosing our viscosity.

Unfortunately, it's like  there are no more leaders of thought among traditional rulers.  I am sure we have great monarchs who can  rise up to call the belligerent ones to order.

I had earlier advocated the Convocation of a 3-Day Conference/Retreat for Yoruba Obas on Srate basis and later on regional basis. I wrote a paper on it to His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and the immediate past Alaafin of Oyo,  Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.

My thoughts were very clear given  the ominous signs about five years ago when  things  were not as horrible as they are currently. 

I like to call on all great monarchs in Yorubaland who are not in the web of the current media wars to rise up lest what remains of our honour and dignity be swept away.
